Jenny Ahlstrom
Utah, Chair of The Board

Jenny Ahlstrom is the founder and CEO of HealthTree Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting blood cancer patients. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2010 at age 43 while living in Mexico with her husband Paul and their six children. After experiencing her brother-in-law's death from acute myeloid leukemia in 2005, she recognized major gaps in patient resources and cancer care coordination.
In 2012, Jenny and Paul launched HealthTree Foundation to help patients navigate treatment decisions, access clinical trials, and contribute their medical data to research. The platform allows patients to track their disease, connect with specialists, and share anonymized health information with researchers to accelerate treatment development. HealthTree has facilitated rapid patient surveys, connected thousands of patients with clinical trials, and provided educational resources through podcasts, webinars, and community support.
Jenny underwent tandem stem cell transplants in 2010 and later participated in CAR T-cell therapy clinical trials when her disease relapsed. She continues to lead HealthTree Foundation while managing her own myeloma treatment.
